BJT Legal is a well-established Victorian law firm with a team of 30 dedicated professionals, committed to delivering exceptional client service across a range of practice areas. We are seeking an experienced, compassionate and client-focused lawyer to join our Family Law team.

About the Role 

Working closely with the Director who leads our Family Law practice, you will provide high-quality advice and representation across a broad range of family law matters, including: 

• Divorce and separation matters 

• Parenting and children's matters 

• Property and financial settlements 

• Binding Financial Agreements 

• Family violence intervention orders 

• Court proceedings and dispute resolution 

• Mediation and negotiated settlements 

This role offers the opportunity to manage your own files with autonomy while benefiting from the support of an experienced and collaborative team. 

 

About You 

You will thrive in this role if you are: 

• A qualified Australian lawyer with at least 2 years' PQE in Family Law 

• Compassionate, empathetic and able to build trusted relationships with clients during challenging times 

• A strong communicator with excellent negotiation and advocacy skills 

• Highly organised with strong attention to detail 

• Confident managing matters independently while working collaboratively within a team 

• Looking for a long-term career within a supportive and progressive regional practice 

While our preference is for a full-time, experienced Family Lawyer, part-time arrangements may be considered for the right applicant.
